Focus on Hybiscus

Hybiscus is one of the flowers in the world that people tend to ignore it's beauty because it's so common. When i say ignore its beauty, i mean the details of it. Ladies tend to grab it and put it on their ear because of its color but they don't really know much about its detail. So for this blog, i will expose some of the unique beauty of this flowers so you ladies can apreciate it more than before.
You ladies like this flower because of its red pedals and its yellow seed that makes this flower more beautiful. I bet you did not know that the little yellow on this flower were its seed.

Here is one thing that I want to show that you can take it as a lesson. When you see the yellow seed, that means that it's mating time for this flower. You might say, "Well they all have yellow on it everytime i see it. That might be true, but remember that everytime you take that flower off its branch, you stop it from mating. So what's the solution for this problem? I will show you step by step and you might be interested in doing it. It gives you more activities with this flower.

Hybiscus contain two major components of its reproduction. Now, what you are looking at on top is what you call pistil. On the very tip of this pistil, it contains four round, red, and fluffy and we call that Stigma. The small straw that connects the Pistil to the Stigma is what you call Style. As you see at the bottom picture, you can see Pistil and Style.

These two parts of this flower, Stigma and Style, that's another beauty of this flower that you ladies don't really pay attention to. As you see on this picture on top and the bottom, Stigma is fluffy and Style is more like hairy. This Stigma is one of the two major part of reproductive system of this flower.

Bellow these Stigma and Style, there are what you call fillamen. There are over seventy fillament that are attached to the pistil. These fillaments contains numbers of Anther at the tip of them. Anther in a common term are the seed of Hibiscus. The bottom picture will give you the idea of what the fillament and Anthers looks like.

This is more upclose picture of Anthers. Each Fillaments contains over fifty Anthers. This is the second major part of reproductive system of Hibiscus. Anthers are not perfectly round.

They are actually more like spiky rounds. The bottom picture shows the upclose shot of Anthers.

As you know that male and female have to mate in order to reproduce another kind of theirs. Same as the flowers. The Fillament will bloom, which cause the Anthers to be fully exposed. When they are fully exposed, the wind is able to blow them to another flower. Another flower also contain Stigma, which catches those blown Anthers.

Just like this picture at the bottom. Once the Stigma catches the Anthers, the process of reproduction begins. That's why the flower keeps on blooming.

If you are one of those ladies that always picking the Hibiscus flowers, here's what you can do to help the reproduction of this flower. Get the flower that you want, and rub its Fillaments to the Stigma of another Hibiscus before you put it on your ear. Its a win win situation. You help the process of reproduction of this flower, but at the same time, you still be able to stick the flower on your ear.

BEING CRAZY

A lot of time I consider myself crazy. most of the time i do crazy things, but not all the time. There is a reason why i want to do crazy things and i will explain in this blog. I heard one guest speaker of our school who said, "normal people don't make difference. It is the crazy ones who makes a difference. They are the ones who make crazy things in order to make changes." I believe in that because normal people are in their comfortable zone. But normal people do have little bit of crazinezz in them. That little craziness is the one that make little changes. I think that is enough for now. Now i want to tell a little bit about myself and to show why i focus on the term crazy.
When it comes to mission, when it comes to learning, when it comes to marriage, when it comes to adventure, whatever opportunity that comes my way, i want to be crazy in it. And here's how it goes:
MISSION: I believe in my heart and have prayed for many years that God will call me to a mission field that is different in my culture and the way i live. I will combine this with the LEARNING and explain more. When i am in a mission field that is out of my culture zone, i learn a lot and be able to appreciate a different aspect of life. When I encounter different people, i will be able to learn different aspect of solving daily problems in a different and in a positive ways. This helps me grow in my knowledge. I speak about learning and motivate myself to be a learner because as a Christian, it is my goal not to stop learning because Christianity does not have it's finale at the middle of my earthly life. the finale is at the end of earthly life. until then, the whole environment of life is a learning process. I grow in my spiritual walk if i learn. if i don't learn, i will not grow. In order to learn, i need to encounter different culture, different people, different worldview and be crazy, or be different.
LET ME GIVE THE DEFINITION OF CRAZY IN MY OWN TERM. BEING CRAZY IS WHEN WE DO DIFFERENT THINGS BEYOND NORMAL LIFE. ....TO BE CONTINUED......

Tip for Mission

THIS IS THE CONTINUATION OF THE BOTTOM BLOG Dont get me wrong, excitement in missions are good. But what im trying to say is that sometimes excitements can distract us from our mission goal. If the jokes and stories are enjoyable when you are in the mission field and still focused on your mission goal, go for it. But what i am trying to say is that whatever you do, always have in mind the goal of your mission while on the mission ground. I was talking about excitements about new members of your team. I want to clarify something with this. Before you go to mission, it is always good to know the person that you are going with. This will help you know how to work with your teammate. If you don't know much about him or her, you will be struggling a little bit because you're still hesitating about how you will appraoch him or her. Some of the expereince that i had in the mission field when i went to thailand were really tough because i did not know much about my team except one or two. With this, i started to take initiative to get to know them. For something like this, not knowing your teammate and go to the mission field, you have to be really open and not hesitating asking questions. But remember this, do not ask questions that are too personal that don't have any relation to your mission or your teamwork. Be precise, but also respect your team's personal property. When it comes to mission, if you are introverted person, you have to leave that kind of personality and work with your teammate. If you are extroverted person like me, you have to leave that free talking and be sensitive about your teammates and the people that you are doing ministry to them. Again, dont get me wrong on this one. I am not trying to say leave your introverted so when you go to mission field, you have to be extroverted. NO. I am saying that when you go to mission field, when people are appraoching you, asking you to go have fun with them, don't say no. Go along with them, and be yourself. And when you are exrtroverted, keep using your gift of speaking but don't be too open because that can scare away people. Be sensitive. Speaking of that one, I am very aware of this and trying to be careful and be a good teammate to my mission team. God wants you to be yourself, but be also open and flexible with other people that wants to be part of your life. When you go out to mission field, there is no such thing as "this is my zone and no one enters it." NO. The zone that you will have in the mission ground or field is God's zone. He is putting you to work. Be a good sportsmanship.

Tips for Mission

There are many times when we're on mission, we encounters some conflict of interests between us and the people that we are woring with. This is because we all have different ways of approaching our ministries. When the mission exceed 4 or 5 weeks, the attitudes, behaviors, conversations and exchange of ideas will change. Either change toward good or toward bad side. Before we get into that one more deeper, let us review some things that we need to be aware of. When the mission start at the mission ground, there is a huge excitement present on the group if the mission ground is new to the team or if the team members are new to each other. The excitements exist because of the interesting place, or interesting stories. Well, that is good. But that will not last long if the page of your mind is not focusing on your mission. Let's start with excitement. Two types of excitement and these will lead you either toward better and healthy mission, or COULD lead you toward frustration that could cause you to be lack of teamwork. The first excitment is the excitment of how you see God providing these team members for your mission and how you see God providing the mission ground for you to serve HIM. This is the excitement that we all want to have in mind every time we go on the field. The second one is how you see people and get excited about their goofiness and how you see the mission ground that fits your interests. This is good, but if you go extreme on this one, it could lead you to distruction because your mind will be off from the goal of the mission. The goal of the mission is to meet the will of God, and not your personal interest if your interest is not allign with God's will. (TO BE CONTINUED)

Blessings

Yesterday was big time blessing for me. I had two paper works that i needed to submit for my class and i thought i was not able to finish them on time. So the other night, i was exegeting the book of Hebrews, focusing on the Author, Purpose of the Letter, and Audience. It was tough because there were lot of readings that i had to do, but it revealed to me some new information that I needed to know. But while I was struggling exegeting the book of Hebrews, I was also reading a chapter of "The Scribe" by Franscine Rivers for my other class. With this challenging of reading, I continued and forced myself beyond what I usually do. Suprisingly, I submitted both papers on time. Though I did finished them on time, it did not take away the result that I knew that i would face. And the result that I'm talking aboout is burned out. With the joy of accomplishment, my brain was so weak, and my body seems like i've been tortured, but inside my heart, the seed of joy gave a smile to my face. For all the labors, I would say, it was worth it. Now, I'm facing another challenge which is the assignment for my other class and yes, it requires a lot of reading. I am praying that my brain will not give up on me so I wont be bored to complete my work today. Praise the Lord for He always have the perfect timing and perfect plan for our lives. Let's focus on our labor and allow that seed of joy continue growing in our hearts and lives. Praise be to the LORD who is Sovereign God.
